I refused to have the Rukawa pic being my best SD fanart, so I tried to step up a notch in doing better pics... My first horizontal SD pic. Haha. I noticed that I've been spending less and less time on the sketch and more and more time on preparing the lineart for inking.

He's supposed to be leaning a bit forward. I don't think I did a very good job with that because it just looks like his neck is out of position and his clothes look rather flat. I'm pretty happy with the face and the hands look though. He looked happier in the sketch, but the mouth looks more natural in this version. As much as I love the red uniform, I had to go with the white one this time to better contrast the jacket. I was tempted to use black for the jacket, but that would mean losing all the details in the folds. Overall this was a better effort of drawing Kogure than in my previous attempts. At least he's not totally flat chested. Ha.
